The narrow type made from rice flour has a narrow shape, not thick, similar to Linguine / Fettuccine. Vermicelli has a tiny and round shape similar to Cappellini. They both are suitable for serving with clear broth. or cooked with light sauce, so the sauce can mix thoroughly with the noodles. such as the Pad Thai, Pho or Japanese salad.​
